Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, planning a wedding is going to require a lot.

Whether you're planning a destination wedding or a simple wedding in your area, having a corona virus-free wedding is possible. You just have to follow these steps:

For Destination Weddings

Unlike in Nigeria and other African countries, the pandemic has spread faster in a lot more European countries. Additionally, wedding planners and the wedding industry has been greatly affected.

If you're having your wedding in the next two months at greatly affected areas like the U.S, you may want to consider postponing or moving to a new destination.

If yours is farther than the next two months, then there's nothing to worry about.

What To Do

For couples planning to have their destination wedding at highly affected places, keep in touch with your wedding planner and vendors. Also, make sure to keep tabs of the current developments as they unfold.

Having a lot of information at your disposal will help with deciding what's best for your wedding. If you have already arrived at the venue of your ceremony, make sure you and your guests follow the required procedure. They include; washing your hands, disinfecting the venue, getting tested before the wedding and more.

For Local Weddings

Although Nigeria has recorded only a few cases of the virus, you can never be too careful. Even though the impact of the COVID-19 virus isn't as great in the wedding industry, you may have to budget for extra expenses (like disinfecting the venue) if need be.

What To Do

If you have guests travelling from far and wide for your wedding, make sure they get tested or self-isolate before attending.

Also, ensure that there are hand washing liquids and water or hand sanitizers for your guests.

Additionally, see to it that your venue is well ventilated, get your vendors and every other person offering services to take extra health measures to reduce the risk of infection.

With these steps, having a corona virus-free wedding is plausible.

While it may seem ridiculous to have guests wearing face masks, avoiding any cases is the best.
