Our traditional wedding feature this month is one of our favourites so far.
Jen Ngozi is a dancer and choreographer who lit up her own traditional
wedding by performing for her new husband and family. When we saw the
pictures of her, all excited and dancing on her Igbankwu day (Traditional wedding
in Igbo), we knew we had to get her in for a chat with Sugar Weddings.
Haha, we can tell. What was the turning point in your relationship?
After we met, he moved away and we became Penpals. During our time apart, it became clear that God might be calling us to be more than just 'buddies,' as we once called it. Before we knew it we went from 'penpals' to 'buddies' to 'married.' To God be the glory!

How did he propose?
My husband proposed in New York City on a boat ride to the Statue of Liberty. It was honestly the best day of my life..Ever!! :-)
So romantic... Where did you have your traditional wedding?
My husband and I went home to Imo State, Nigeria to do our Traditional Wedding this month.
Favourite part of the day?
As a Dancer, it really was a dream come true to be able to perform for my husband and family at our wedding. The videos are coming very soon and I'd be happy to share those as well!
