Who says real love doesn't exist? When this facebook post popped up in my timeline I expected to read another 'my bestfriend my soulmate' type epistle, but Bola's authenticity screamed louder which each sentence I read. Like me, I'm sure most married couples can relate. I don't know this couple but I with them both many more love filled years.
Today is my 1 year Anniversary!
I’d like to lie and say this past year has been nothing but bliss but I won’t…that’s not my style!
Marriage is hard! And I can’t stress how important it is to be married to the right person because only the strong will survive!I used to think marriage was about having guiltless sex everyday of the week and having someone to pay your bills and be your plus 1 at events!!
What they don’t tell you about marriage is that it’s about giving and not taking! It’s about patience and choosing your battles, it’s about being unselfish, it’s about loving unconditionally, it’s about not taking your partner for granted, it’s about carrying the other’s burdens as if they were yours and most importantly it’s about putting God first!
KC taught me that! He continues to lead me by example daily. It’s been especially hard for me because I am set in my ways but I’ve always known that God loves me and I am blessed and highly favored! You would know it too if you knew my husband. He is the most patient, the most kind, the most tolerant, the most selfless man I have ever known. He dotes on me and reminds me how special I am daily! Even if you don’t know me you can tell from a distance that I am a handful but KC has broken down every single wall I ever put up and he has healed every broken part and fulfilled every broken promise and continues to blow my mind every day!I thank God for him. I pray that God will give him everything it requires to continue to be an Amazing husband and an Amazing Father!
A toast to forever with my Booski KC! Because of you.... I’M STRONGER! I’M WISER! I’M BETTER….SO MUCH BETTER!!
