Wedding preparation takes months of hard work and resilience. While planning a wedding, you prepare for all sorts of possible occurrences and emergencies.

However, despite months of planning and scheming, a wedding rarely goes off without a hitch. Some situations come up unexpectedly and need to be dealt with.

So here are items that you should include in your wedding day emergency kit to help you fix the situations as they arise:

Bobby pins/Hair ties

Hair emergencies are a very common emergency at weddings. A lot of the time, the bobby pins used to secure the hair do not stay put and so the hair starts to slip out of place. Having bobby pins on hand will help you to fix the hair as best as possible.

Medications

It is essential to pack emergency medications such as pain reliever tablets (you are likely to have a headache at your wedding) as well as your prescription medicine and anti-allergy medications if you have an allergy.

Tissues

It goes without saying that you should definitely include tissues in your emergency supplies kit. You are likely going to tear up at your wedding and the tissues come in handy to ensure that your makeup is not ruined by the tears. Tissues also serve to blot sweat.

Sanitary pads or Tampons

Periods are notorious for sometimes coming when you least expect. So to be on the safe side, you should pack some sanitary pads or tampons.

A mini Makeup Purse

It is very unlikely that your makeup will stay put throughout the day without a few touch-ups here and there. So you should include a mini makeup kit containing essentials like lipstick and powder.

A Pair of Flats

Wearing high heels for an extended period can prove to be very uncomfortable, especially if you’re not used to wearing them. So you should pack a pair of flat shoes to change into if the discomfort gets unbearable.

Double-sided Tape and Safety Pins

Wardrobe malfunctions are a dime a dozen at weddings. While you probably won’t have enough time to re-stitch ripped seams or if you’re having trouble getting a strapless dress to stay put, you can rely on double-sided fashion tapes and safety pins to hold things together until the ceremony is over.

These items will prove to be lifesavers if an emergency comes up during your wedding.
