You have been asked out on a date or you did the asking you have to make sure that the first meeting is beautiful and memorable and the way to do this is to enjoy the company and not make your date feel like they are being interrogated by the CIA with a touch of desperation. As much as you want to know everything about your date, it is important to have it at the back of your mind that this is just the first date and if successful it can lead to another.
Here is a list of questions you should never ask on the first date.
- What’s your salary?
What exactly is your reason for thinking this question? Are you a recruiter with a better job offer for him/her? If you are not then you need to relax and let your date feel comfortable without feeling you are after what they can offer financially.
- How was your relationship with your ex like?
You do not have to take your date on a trip down memory lane if they wanted to do that they will not be having a date with you. You do not have to be a reminder of a love lost.
- What’s your body count?
This is an unbelievable question that is really not necessary; if your reason for this question is for you to know if there is a future for you and your date then I advise you outsource the job and have the best 2 with no/less body count be sent to you for selection.
- Where is our relationship going?
The ship has not even left the harbour yet and you are overtly curious about the destination; at least let the ship be built and set in motion do not destroy something good.
- What is your favourite sexual position?
I understand knowing and understanding a partners sexuality is important but not on the first date.
- Do you think your family will like me?
As necessary as this is, you have to let your date like you first before moving to his/her parent. Do not act too eager to please
- How many kids do you want to have?
Your date did not invite you to plan a family instead he or she wants to get to know you and see if the relationship is worth trying. It is all a step at a time you cannot have all the answers on the first date.
