Ivy and Seyi

Girl meets girl. Girl becomes friends with girl. Girl gives friend's number to her brother. This is the story of Ivy and Seyi who are now together thanks to a fortuitious friendship formed by Ivy and Seyi's younger sister, Ope. The two girls met at law school and became good friends, and remained in touch even after Ivy relocated to the United States of America. It was during this time that Ope (not intending to play matchmaker) gave Ivy's number to her big brother. Seyi made the call, and a connection was made (and we don't just mean by the phone company).

Seyi and Ivy began officially dating in March 2008 and were an item for over a year before he popped the question early on Christmas day in 2009. The beautiful couple tied the knot the very next year at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland. A small but beautiful reception followed at the Event Centre in Ikeja, Lagos where the couple was surrounded by close friends and family members. Their traditional wedding was done a few days earlier at the brides' home. Their wedding events took four (4) months to plan without the help of a wedding planner.
