Barbados, a member of the British common wealth group of nations with a population of just over 280,000 is one of the Caribbean's leading tourist locations. The island located in the Atlantic Ocean, shares a border with South America and has a very similar climate to Nigeria. It is divided administratively into 11 parishes or districts with Bridgetown in St Michael as it's capital. Though English is it's official language, a variant if it known as Bajan is spoken by most Barbadians in everyday life.
