The couple was introduced on the phone two years ago by a mutual friend, TJ who decided to play cupid.
Since both Helen and Brume were based in different states, Lagos and Abuja respectively, they spoke often on the phone but never actually met face to face till a few months later when Helen made a business trip to Abuja:
“..I thought it would be nice to put a face to the voice I had been speaking to on the phone so we decided to meet up. Unfortunately my meeting took forever and afterward I was soooo tired I needed to go to my room for a nap. He came over to see me and we chatted for a bit. I can remember thinking...well he's okay but I'm not sure I'm ready for a long distance relationship...” - Helen
Fast forward a few months, TJ's brother was getting married in Lagos, and both Brume and Helen were guests at the wedding. They were inseparable at the wedding and the rest of the weekend getting to know each other better, the rest as they say is history.
“..I strongly believe God has a role to play in our relationship because the first time we spoke neither one of us was ready for a relationship. But God gave us time to nurture our love. We have a strong ability to understand ourselves....and we fully compliment each other...” - Helen.
Their traditional wedding took place at Helens family residence while the blue themed wedding reception took place at Liberty Hall, their colours choices were inspired by blue being the official colour of the Virgin Mary. The entire planning process took six months without the help of a wedding planner but with lots of help and referrals from friends and family

Never commit to a vendor until you have done some research or shopped around. Ensure you get the best for your money. Also don't sweat the small stuff, it's really not worth it. It's your day and the Lord will make it perfect for you!
