Shoes may seem like the least of your worries as a bride especially as it is going to be hidden beneath the beautiful dress. You need to understand that there is more to the wedding shoes than just getting the one that matches with your dress, a bad shoe can disfigure everything you have beautiful going on.
So, when selecting your wedding you have to do the following in order to avoid a travesty.
#1 Include in the budget
Some brides tend to exclude their shoes from the wedding budget because after all, it is just a shoe. That is a misconception, it is not just a shoe but your wedding shoe.
Make sure you set a budget for it as most wedding shoes can be expensive. This way, you’ll avoid getting caught off balance when you see the price tag of the shoe of your dreams.
#2 Zero comforts
Why get an uncomfortable shoe only for it get you cranky on your big day? Do not pick a shoe just because you like it but because it is very comfortable; enough for you to take a hike.
Have it at the back of your mind your big day is not a leisure day at the park because your legs will be doing a lot of work, therefore they have to be treated well with proper shoes.
#3 Test Walk
Take your shoe for a walk, do not leave it in the box until the wedding day. Do not tell yourself that ‘oh I have tested it, it is my perfect size’ It goes beyond the perfect size, can you have the perfect walk with it?
Can your ankle survive a walk with it?
#4 Match it Up
Make sure that your tested and comfortable shoes match up with your dress. Do not be nonchalant about your shoe by trying to get away with a wrong match just because you are wearing a really long dress.
#5 Extra Pair
Always purchase an extra pair for as a contingency plan
#6 Reuse
When you think of getting a shoe, do not buy a shoe that will end its journey once the wedding is over, except you are buying a disposable shoe (if there is anything like that), go for a shoe that you can always wear way after your wedding.
