It's not unusual to breakout before your wedding. It will probably be a miracle if you end up unscathed from all the stress of planning.

However, having the right amount of nutritious diets can make it a lot less evident and give you the glowing skin, hair and nails you deserve all month long.

  • Don't Forget Beta-carotene

Beta-carotene consists of vitamin C which helps in producing skin-smoothing collagen. It can also convert into vitamin A which boosts your immune system and keeps your eyes strong. 15mg a day would do the magic. Go for either carrot, a cup of mashed potatoes, or spinach.

  • Take lots of Antioxidants

Antioxidants are great because of the healthy and fresh look they give to the skin. They are responsible for blocking out cell-damaging free radicals from UV exposure and pollution. Take a few cups of green tea, eat berries, kiwi or a rich-in-antioxidant meal per day.

  • Take Calcium

You would need 1,000 mg of calcium or an equivalent of 3 cups of milk every day to get your hair, nails and skin staying strong and glowing. Choose low-fat dairy products like yoghurt, milk and cheese. Make sure you go for more organic items to avoid extra antibiotics or hormones.

  • Add healthy fats to your diet

Omega-3 is one of the best essential fatty acids you can use. They are great at helping in reducing inflammation in the body and boost your hair glow. They also help retain your moisture and gives you an overall radiant supple complexion. One tablespoon of flaxseed oil a day contains 6.9 grams of omega-3 fats. Other alternatives are avocado, olive oil, salmon and walnuts.

  • Don't leave your proteins behind

Proteins are the best for building your skin, bones, blood, hair, nails and cartilage. Aim at 46 grams of protein a day. Some good sources of protein include chicken, eggs, beef, tuna, beans, and nuts.

  • Selenium

Selenium has been confirmed to prevent wrinkles in the skin, lower the risk of cancer and regulate thyroid function. It is also great at keeping hair and scalp healthy. 55mg a day is recommended. You can get selenium in tuna, mushrooms, oatmeal, shrimps, whole-grain bread, and turkey.

It's best to work out a diet that fits your body type. Avoid excessive intake of the foods listed above and get ready to have an overall healthy body for your wedding.
