The Minimalist Bride
The minimalist bride is usually a ver sophisticated lady. She understands the term less is more and she lives by it. As such, on her wedding day she wants to look stunning but still stay true to herself. For this look, a flawless base and fantastic looking bone structure is a must have. Not to worry, if you weren’t blessed with that by nature, you can engage a make-up artist who specialises in highlighting and shading techniques. Also worthy of note is the fact that this look is very selective of colours and as such, it requires colours that are complementary to the skin tone such as brown, coral, rust, gold and peach. The Cosmopolitan Bride
The cosmopolitan bride is well travelled and usually knows what’s new . They like infusing current trends in their looks albeit in little doses. They have no problems with colour whatsoever and they love to have fun with new tricks. Tricks like using white liner in the waterline which makes eyes seem whiter and wearing eye-shadow on the bottom lids are not foreign to them. The diva bride likes to be seen and doesn’t apologise for it. On a glamour scale of 1- 10, she’s a 20. She has a great relationship with makeup, as a matter of fact, she’s probably tried a lot of looks and knows exactly what she wants. She has specific needs and communicates them to her makeup artist. This look is highly unpredictable as it is dependent on the whims of the bride. This bride however helps the makeup artist break and remake her rules which is fantastic because it reinforces to the makeup artist know that nothing is impossible. The Pin-up/Princess Bride
The pin-up/princess bride is one that likes attention to detail and perfection. She’s not afraid of colours but its application has to be precise and perfect. Such a bride likely had a lot of dolls to play as a young girl, so has the picture of those perfect looking dolls ingrained in her head as her ideal wedding day look. This look like the minimalist look, requires a flawless base and great looking bone structure either naturally or artificially derived. Neat and precise brows are a must, eye-shadow colours may be light and almost colourless, but the eyes have to be well defined by using a dark kohl pencil and false lashes.
