A family member or friend’s garden
Think about all the decorations you’d potentially be saving on! Go around
your close family and friend’s gardens to make sure one of them is the
perfect fit for your big day before popping the question. A few ribbons
here and there should spruce the garden up a bit.

Church Halls
If you are going to get married in a church, the most cost-effective reception venue would be in the church’s main hall. You may be responsible for decorating and cleaning, or make a monetary donation just towards the running of the church but it will never be close to paying an event centre rental fee.

Beach or pool wedding
If you’re in a city with beaches, you can get one for practically free to have your wedding reception. You may only need to “settle” the area boys. Can’t get married by the beach? Have a reception by a pool instead! Some outdoor pool areas actually have lots of space to lounge and chill; convert this space into a sitting area that can make for a good reception and you are good to go.

Farm Wedding
I know, I know. When you think farm, you think of animals and manure. The flipside is that farms are spacious and an event set up with a nice tent can be held out by its field where the animals roam. Some nice flowers and decorations can spruce up this venue unexpectedly.
