Farida and Isa met while working for the same organization. A work colleague made the initial introductions and a few months later the couple found the right opportunity to get to know each other better.
It was instant chemistry, and Isa proposed just one month after!
"...We were having a conversation as I was seeing him off and Isa mentioned casually that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me... "
It all started with the Kamu Amarya (pictures not included) which literally means "catching" the bride. At the Kamu, Isa's family and friends came together to claim Farida by spraying perfume on her and paying money to her friends. The Kamu was followed by a dinner hosted by Farida's family at Arewa House, which was decorated in vibrant shades of purple, pink and gold. The next day was the colourful "Yinin Biki and Kai Amarya", a send forth party for the bride, where she was groomed and pampered by older women in the family. The celebrations continued with a dinner hosted by the grooms family at Events Plaza which looked majestic in silver, blue and red. All was finally concluded with the "Budan Kai" (pictures not included), the unveiling of the bride at the Isa's family residence. All events took place in Kaduna and took just two months to plan.
Congratulations Farida and Isa, may you have a long, beautiful and fruitful marriage.
