Relax & Enjoy
After a successful wedding ceremony, you and your spouse deserve to take the next day or more to relax and enjoy the new status as newlyweds. You can choose to spend the day with family members, friends or stay in bed stuffing your face with leftover cake. Ensure you take out time for yourselves.
Open Your Presents
When you feel you are well-rested and ready to get back to post-wedding work, then you should get to your wedding presents. Opening presents can be quite exciting. You will have fun looking at ‘what’ from ‘who’. Do not forget to take note of the loved ones who sent the gifts, so that you can show your appreciation.
Send Thank You Messages
Take sufficient time to compose appreciation messages to friends and loved ones who contributed and were a big part of your wedding journey. The earlier, the better so that you do not get swamped with lots of notes to write. Personalized messages will be a good idea and will be deeply appreciated. Moreover, it will also be a nice gesture to send thank you cards to vendors whose services were the best during the wedding.

You definitely would have spent a lot during the planning stage of the wedding and also at the execution. It is good to tackle how you are going to manage your finances as couples. To avoid financial stress, you need to figure out and organize your finances. It is the period for you to decide whether you want your financial accounts combined or if you will create a new joint account.
Marital Status Update
As a bride, if you want to change your name, this is the time to do so. As newlyweds, you need to update your marital status on all your necessary documents and places such as the bank, your place of work, hospital, insurance company etc.
